Thank you to everyone who came out to build a great new playground at Cuscaden Park! In less than six hours, the playground that children dreamed about on August 9, became a reality as 200+ volunteers built the playground from scratch!  The project was funded in part by the Friends of Tampa Recreation, Inc., a not for profit organization that raises funds to support the City of Tampa Parks and Recreation Department's programs and activities.

Significant support from KaBOOM! and Foresters ensured local kids will have a great play space within walking distance for many years to come.

KaBOOM! is a national non-profit dedicated to saving play for America's children.  Their mission is to create great playspaces through the participation and leadership of communities. Ultimately, they envision a place to play within walking distance of every child in America.
